Private Munich Tour

Munich on a Bike

Munich has baptized itself Germany’s bike capital—Radlhaupstadt. We call a shandy a biker. Children learn to ride a bike when they have barely mastered to walk. We just love bicycles!

Cycling accounts for 20% of Munich’s traffic. And no wonder, considering the city is mostly flat, boasts 1,200 km of bike lanes and has plenty of quiet side streets, wide squares and green parks. Riding a bike, we will be able to cover a lot more of ground and show you the monuments but also parts of Munich which are further away from the beaten tourist path. Join us on our Munich on a Bike private tour and discover the Isar river and the English Garden, the Olympic Park and the art and university districts.

Ideas for our Munich on a Bike tour

  • This is an easy biking tour: Munich is a fairly flat city, and we will be making stops on the way. Nevertheless, you should be in good enough shape to manage short ascents—riding or pushing—and to ride a bike for the agreed duration of our tour (usually between 3 hours and a full day). Please be comfortable in the clothes you wear.
  • A standard half a day tour will be a combination of quieter streets and park roads. We could see: the Isar river, the English Garden, Olympic Park and Nymphenburg, as well as drive through some neighborhoods. We tend to suggest a stop in a beergarden for a refreshing drink. And of course we can stop at any museum or sight for as long as you want.
  • Another option is to do any of the other Munich tours we offer, but on a bike: the Third Reich tour is ideal, as is the Munich Highlights by Car tour.
